Annual Chamber Celebration

This luncheon program reviews the Chamber’s recent happenings and standings and introduces board directors, staff, ambassadors and partners. Awards are given to an outstanding member of the year, outstanding businesses of the year and Chamber Ambassador of the year. About 300 people attended in 2017.

Business After Hours

This classic early-evening Chamber event offers unstructured networking to make new or renew existing business connections. The Chamber has been holding Business After Hours for at least 25 years. Between 70 and 110 people typically attend. Hosting requires application; please email us.

Business Matters Luncheons

This classic mid-day Chamber event offers attendees a chance to network, make introductions and hear a guest presenter speak on a practical business-related subject matter. The Chamber has been holding monthly luncheons since its inception in 1954, though the format has slightly varied over the years. Between 75 and 100 attend.

Chamber Golf Classic

2011 Golf Outing

7:30 a.m. & 1 p.m. scrambles.

There is no better way to mix business with pleasure! Members use this opportunity to strengthen relationships and conduct business with clients and associates. Sponsors use this as an outdoor business expo by taking advantage of the active sponsorship opportunities. The Chamber’s outing is one of the most established (30+ years) and largest golf outings on the Southside, running close to 60 foursomes between two flights (one morning and one afternoon).

Connections! is a fun, structured networking environment for members to participate in rotating table introductions. This program is designed to teach you how to make the best connections for your business with the ultimate goal of building new strategic business relationships. Attendees receive general networking training and then rotate frequently. Attendance varies between 25 and 30.

Legislation Matters Series

This initiative brings local business leaders together with elected officials to discuss current events and hot legislative issues. The main goal of the series is to communicate with elected officials the business community’s positions on important issues. Green and red cards are given to each attendee to hold up and “vote” on issues, giving our elected officials a good visual of where the local business community stands.

The series includes:

  • Interactive luncheons in January and March, at the start and middle/end of the Indiana General Assembly session
  • Greenwood Mayor's "State of the City" Address
  • Interactive luncheon with a US Congressional representative(s) or Statewide elected official
  • Politics and Swizzlesticks

Between 70 and 250people attend each event.

Taste of the Southside

Must be 21 years or older to attend.

This popular food and beverage tasting event showcases the best that the Southside has to offer. Vendors are area restaurants, caterers, distributors and wineries. The event also features an “Iron Chef”-style live cooking competition and an exciting live auction. More than 900 people attend this annual event, regarded by other communities around Indiana as a benchmark tasting event.
