Pride & Progress Award

Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce awards recognize business success and Chamber engagement.

The following awards are presented annually at the Annual Chamber Celebration. We welcome your nominations!

How to nominate

Please complete and return the below nomination form. If you are nominating another company, please complete as much of the form as able or simply forward this form to your nominee’s attention.

We cannot guarantee incomplete nominations will be sufficiently evaluated. We invite you to please make an appointment with the Chamber staff for assistance completing the form.

A confidential selection committee, comprised of successful business owners, Chamber board directors, and economic development professionals, will score each submission. Committee members and are selected for their business acumen and experience handling discrete information; they faithfully adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality.

Pride & Progress Award

Pride & Progress AwardThe Pride & Progress Award recognizes local businesses’ outstanding design efforts in the construction of a new business or the renovation of an existing property. This award celebrates the way the construction positively contributed to their business success and improved our community’s overall appearance.

Eligibility and criteria

  • Two Pride & Progress Awards will be presented: one for renovation and one for new construction. A project may not be nominated for both categories.
  • Companies are encouraged to nominate themselves, or may be nominated by others. A project may not be nominated for both categories.
  • Nominees do not need to be Greater Greenwood Chamber members, but need to be located south of I465 in Marion County and north of Whiteland Road in Johnson County.
  • Eligible businesses must have received a Certificate of Occupancy or show ownership in the year in which they are nominated.
  • Projects will be judged on the quality of work, appropriateness of the construction to its surroundings and contribution of the construction to the overall look of the community.
  • Photos of the building must be submitted with the nomination form. Digital preferred.

Salute Award

Pilsung ATA Martial Arts Salute Small Business webThe Salute Award recognizes Chamber member businesses that have demonstrated outstanding business success. Nominees demonstrate success in more than one of the following areas:

  • growth and stability
  • commitment to quality
  • creative/unique solutions to challenges
  • entrepreneurial spirit

Eligibility and criteria

  • Companies are encouraged to nominate themselves, or may be nominated by others.
  • Each nominee must be a for-profit business in operation for a minimum of two years, and a current Greenwood Chamber member business.
  • Companies may be nominated by other companies or may nominate themselves.
  • In addition to the above areas, nminees’ overall contribution to the community will also be considered.
