Pride & Progress Award

Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce awards recognize business success and Chamber engagement.

The following awards are presented annually at the Annual Chamber Celebration. We welcome your nominations!

How to nominate

If you would like to nominate your company for consideration, please complete the nomination form.

Nominate a company now!

If you would like to nominate a company other than your own for consideration, either:

  • complete as much of the nomination form as you can
  • forward the form to your nominee’s attention and email the Chamber the name of your nominee.

Need to keep your nomination a surprise or maintain confidentiality? We will gladly accept nomination forms completed by someone other than the nominee, so long as you can provide verifiable data about your nominee. We promise to maintain strict confidentiality.

Pride & Progress Award

Pride & Progress AwardThe Pride & Progress Award recognizes local businesses’ outstanding design efforts in the construction of a new business or the renovation of an existing property. This award celebrates the way the construction positively contributed to their business success and improved our community’s overall appearance.

Eligibility and criteria

  • Two Pride & Progress Awards will be presented: one for renovation and one for new construction. A project may not be nominated for both categories.
  • Eligible businesses must have received a certificate of occupancy or show ownership in the year in which they are nominated.
  • Nominees will be judged on the quality of work, appropriateness of the construction to its surroundings and contribution of the construction to the overall look of the community.
  • Companies may be nominated by other companies or may nominate themselves.
  • Nominees will be asked to provide a brief description of the project and a list of credits, including property owner, architect, designer, planner, consultants and other pertinent players.
  • Photos of the building must be submitted with the nomination form. Digital photos submitted via email are preferred.
  • Nominees do not need to be Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce members, but they need to be located in southern Marion or northern/north central Johnson County.
  • All nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber’s selection committee.

Salute Award

Pilsung ATA Martial Arts Salute Small Business webThe Salute Award recognizes Chamber member businesses that have demonstrated outstanding business success. Nominees demonstrate success in more than one of the following areas:

  • growth and stability
  • commitment to quality
  • creative/unique solutions to challenges
  • entrepreneurial spirit
  • overall contribution to the community

Eligibility and criteria

  • Nominees must be for-profit businesses that have been in operation for a minimum of two years.
  • Nominees must be current Greenwood Chamber member businesses.
  • Companies may be nominated by other companies or may nominate themselves.
  • All nominations will be reviewed by the Chamber’s nomination committee.
